Abstract

School Literacy Movement as a movement that is encouraged to increase students' interest in literacy activities at the Indonesian School of Mecca. The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of the School Literacy Movement at Indonesian of Mecca. The approach used in this study is a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. This study provides an explanation related to the implementation of the School Literacy Movement (GLS) at the Indonesian School of Mecca which has been implemented so far. The results of the study indicate that the literacy program at the Indonesian School of Mecca is running well with the activities carried out, namely literacy extracurricular activities, library management, coin literacy programs, book purchases, reading, awards for the most book readers, and encouraging participation in literacy-related competitions. The implementation of the School Literacy Movement at the Indonesian School of Mecca is running well and has shown quite good results and has had a positive impact on the learning process.
