Abstract

Digital transformation in education requires innovation in Indonesian language and literature learning media that is relevant to the digital generation. The formulation of this research problem is how the integration of Wattpad can increase the motivation, creativity, and learning achievement of students in higher education, as well as the challenges that arise in its implementation. The purpose of this study is to analyse the effectiveness of Wattpad as a digital literary learning medium and identify the necessary supporting strategies. The research uses a case study method with a descriptive qualitative approach through observation, interviews, and analysis of student work. The results show that Wattpad is able to expand access to literary works, increase student engagement, and encourage writing creativity. However, gaps were found in the form of digital literacy gaps, limited internet access, and the need for lecturer assistance to maintain academic quality. The discussion emphasised that the integration of Wattpad is effective as a means of digital transformation in learning the Indonesian language and literature, provided that there is an adaptive curriculum, strengthening digital literacy, and integrating local cultural values.
